Welcome
Snyderville Basin Special Recreation District and Park City Municipal Corporation jointly completed a Recreation Facility Demand Study and a Community Interest and Opinion Survey, and now seek to integrate the data gathered in these reports into a Strategic Action Plan. The plan will serve as a way for the Agencies to organize and prioritize recreation initiatives and resources to achieve specific goals within a specific period of time to assist with short and long-range decision making.
The goal of the Agencies is to identify and develop a 5-year implementation strategy to address the present and future recreation facility needs of their constituents. Within the next 10-year planning horizon, the population is expected to grow by 47,000 people. Information previously obtained in the Recreation Facility Demand Study details a facility inventory by location and by agency ownership. The Community Interest and Opinion Survey set the foundation for the Agencies to better understand demographics and constituent desires to guide the prioritization of recreation facilities that households have a need for. The Agencies now desire to strategically plan the implementation of future facilities, and will convene members of the Regional Recreation and Master Plan Committees to guide the process with the assistance of the Landmark Design planning team. |
